The alpine and ski village Königsleiten is located above the Gerlos Pass and is therefore ideall situated to prove itself as a top base camp for hut hikes in the immediate vicinity. The alpine pastures and huts invite you to enjoy, with flair, the typical delicacies of the region.

Ever since the forest spirits transformed the master builders from the Zillertal into spruce gnomes, the spruce gnomes have lived on the Rosenalm. It is a mysterious, magical world that big and small guests of the Zillertal Arena can discover high above Zell am Ziller while climbing, sliding or playing.
The Fichtenschloss awaits visitors with:

Admission is free for users of the mountain railroad, for the ascent the mountain railroad tariffs apply. Children up to 10 years are transported free of charge. Admission to the castle area free of charge!
The mountain has a lot to offer: From adventure hikes to canyoning in powerful water worlds to relaxing or challenging bike tours, you can experience everything here. All you have to do – even if it’s hard – is leave the cozy ambience of the Ursprung.
The first yodel trail in the world is ready to be intoned by you! Let your voice ring out – according to the motto of the Königsleitner Yodelwanderweg: Everyone can yodel.
At the different stations you can sing traditional yodels and feel the feeling of life in the mountains.
Dive into the mysterious world of tales of our mountain world – directly at the mountain station of the Dorfbahn Königsleiten.
You might catch a glimpse of the wild women or discover the chamois on the roof of the alpine hut, letting the sun shine on their horns. But for sure, you will be rewarded like the good dairymaid, if you are merciful and do not leave the hungry standing carelessly. And there is still the Kröndlwurm in the lake. You don’t need to be afraid of him. Whoever discovers his little golden crown, immeasurable wealth beckons!
With all the mystical and sometimes a little eerie inhabitants of the summit world of Königsleiten, it is in any case reassuring that there is also the Walder Hexenglocke. It reliably drives away all wild witches who want to fly along in the thunderstorm and hailstorm.

This card is your special entrance ticket to a wonderful hiking world. With it, you can use the Königsleiten-Gerlos region’s two cable cars for free and all summer long. As a partner of the Free Mountain card, free rides on the Dorfbahn Königsleiten and the Isskogelbahn in Gelos are included during your stay at the Ursprung. We wish you awe-inspiring views of the Hohe Tauern National Park stretching as far and wide as the Kitzbühel and Zillertal Alps.
